Wall Sask. Party government manages to raise wait times!

This is from this site.
Saskatchewan is the birthplace of medicare under the CCF. Now under the Sask. Party it is the home of the highest wait times in the country. Of course one cannot always believe the Fraser Institute but surely Premier Wall should since it is a right wing think tank.

Wait Times Up in Saskatchewan

Wednesday, 08 October 2008

The median wait time for Canadians seeking surgical or other therapeutic treatment dropped to 17.3 weeks in 2008 from 18.3 weeks in 2007.
That's according to new research published by The Fraser Institute.
However, the waiting game in Saskatchewan went up and is, in fact, the highest in the country at 28 point 8 weeks.
Ontario had the shortest wait time at just over 13 weeks.
The measurement is the wait between visiting a GP and receiving treatment.
And the numbers don't get any better, for Saskatchewan, if you look at the wait between seeing a GP and then a specialist, where it takes more than 12 weeks, up from 10 in 2007.
Throughout Canada, the total number of procedures for which people are waiting in 2008 is almost 7 hundred and 51 thousand.
